School of Public Health
Stellar Interactions developed materials and supported PubH 6105: Environmental and Occupational Health, a graduate-level course offered at the University of Minnesota. Through usability research, Stellar Interactions has developed interactive elements, including mobile apps, to help learners understand this complex and changing field.
Certified Food Manager
This online, self-paced course provides video, interactive exercises, and quizzes to help MN food managers learn about important safety-related topics. Stellar Interactions developed the course through usability research with the targeted learners.
Great Trays
This course developed from a partnership with the CDC and the University of Minnesota. Stellar Interactions created the online version of this course, which provides 10 hours of training on new K-12 nutrition standards for food service workers.
Parents Forever Online Course
The MN Supreme Court gave the University of Minnesota Extension a short timeline to take their 8-hour face-to-face course and create an engaging, online version. Stellar Interactions worked with the Parents Forever team to create an effective online course delivered through Moodle.
Watershed Specialist Training
Watershed specialists in MN face environmental, social, and resource challenges in their work. This 14-week training course was developed to help them be more effective. Stellar Interactions provided usability research for the course development and worked with SMEs to create content directly applicable to the specialists’ current work.
Human Factors Engineering (HFE) for Medical Devices Projects
This selected portfolio highights some recent projects.
Medtronic
Stellar Interactions provided usability research to Medtronic to develop patient and physician materials used both in the US and Europe. Stellar Interactions also provided usability research for Medtronic Neuromodulation’s mobile strategy across 3 therapies. In addition, Stellar Interactions provided usability support for a variety of projects over a four-year span.
Boston Scientific
Stellar Interactions worked with the Boston Scientific HFE team on two projects. For the first project, Stellar Interactions worked with the product team to develop, conduct and analyze formative research on an upcoming cardiac product. In the second project, Stellar Interactions conducted interviews with European clinical support personnel to develop a Summative Protocol for a soon-to-be updated product in the European market.
Medivators
Stellar Interactions was hired by Usensus, LLC to update HFE documentation (Task Analysis and Use Error Analysis) and moderate two Summative Studies for a new Medivators product.
Inspire Sleep Apnea Innovation
Stellar Interactions was hired by Usensus, LLC to conduct both Formative and Summative research for updates to Inspire’s Upper Airway Stimulation System, as well as update HFE documentation (Task Analysis and Use Error Analysis).
